Say It Ain’t Slow
Slow. Yes. A good way to introduce a possibility. My time here in the UK is coming to a close. And, well, as I’m trying to cram everything in at the end, my posts are slowing down (which makes no sense out of my new addiction to twitter). [… Continue reading … Say It Ain’t Slow: Making the Font Game

Oded Ezer
Ketubah
From Oded Ezer:
Here is a preview of my new typo work - Ketubah.
The ketubah (a Jewish prenuptial agreement) is one of the predominant forms of Jewish art. Here, using a different typeface for each language appearing in this multilingual Ketubah (Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French and Spanish), I had a great pleasure exploring a more traditional aspects of Hebrew and Latin typography, trying to combine it with my own style.
This isn’t the first time Oded has been on DWB. Enjoy Tybrid and Typosperma.

Oded Ezer Typography
Tybrid
After a month long holiday, it’s great to be back with a new project from Oded.
From Oded Ezer:
‘Tybrid’ (=typographic hybrids) is a new work created specially for an invitational poster exhibition, themed ‘My favorite Game’, that is going to be held in July 2007 in Ithaca, and in September in Athens, Greece. Tybrid consists of 4 squares (each 50×50 cm) combined together, forming the Hebrew word for ‘Typography’.
You can see more on his photo blog at Flickr - Photos from Oded E.

TypeOff.de
From Dan:
In 2004, TypeOff.de was founded as a collective of typography students from Offenbach, Germany. After two years, a static website, and a group-based blog, TypeOff.de now primarily serves as an online soapbox for its founder, Dan Reynolds. TypeOff.de is dedicated to discussion about typography, type design, and graphic design.
Who wouldn’t smile at Dan’s post, Some Things Never Change. It’s about a type specimen sheet, in German, advertising wares (translation by Dan) “The cheapest priced contemporary typefaces are to be found with me / I have the cheapest selection of contemporary typefaces / Wolfgang Dietrich Ehrhart, typefounder in Leipzig [circa 1710].”

Oded Ezer
Typosperma
About:
Created by Oded Ezer, Typosperma is the second experimental typo project in his ‘Biotypography’ series. As a paraphrase on the biotechnology definition, ‘Biotypography’ is a term that refers to any typographical application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to create or modify typographical phenomena. The main idea of the ‘Typosperma’ project was to create some sort of new transgenic creatures, half (human) sperm, half letter. These imaginary creatures are cloned sperms, that typographic information has been implanted into their DNA.

Richard Weston
Ace Jet 170
Ace Jet 170:
A blog of found type, print and stuff. I’m enjoying Richard’s straightforward nav in a nutshell consisting of Books, Print and Things. And wow. What a collection.
From the site:

It includes the work of designers that have had an influence on my work: (in no particular order) Josef Muller-Brockmann, Tschichold, Derek Birdsall, Otl Aicher, Abrahm Games, Piet Zwart, Herbert Matter, Saul Bass, Hans Schleger, Le Corbusier, Brownjohn and Ladislav Sutnar, along with more random items like the Swiss Passport or Boccioni’s Fist.
