Photojojo is just, well, darn good. Even when I’m not in the mood to take snaps, I’m in the mood for their newsletters coming into my inbox.

About: We publish an insanely great newsletter on photography.

More specifically, we scour the internets, rip pages out of magazines, ransack our friends’ closets, and go through dumpsters to find the very best Photo tips, DIY projects, and Gear.

And then they send it all on to us. Nice!

State of the Art

Well, I’m finally back. Mostly. Although broadband is back on (thanks to Jay), I’m still living out of boxes. Only here, it’s boxes covered in dust. In the past months of the reno I’ve been taking snaps, so I thought I’d share State of the Art, a decent photo blog.

My crafts and trades are that of photography and brand management consulting. Both entail a great deal of travel, especially the photography work. The Signs photo-documentary has taken me on a photographic road trip throughout America.

About the Signs photo-documentary:
To date, the material for th Signs Book Project has been photographed in 42 states and over 85,000 miles have been driven … So, where is the HOV Lane headed? The remaining states are: Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.

Abhijit

Apologies. Posts might be sporadic or sparse in the next couple of days. There was a cold snap in Cambodia and it’s also in Thailand. I’ve come down with a lovely cold, most likely acquired by traveling, not the unusual change in weather.

There is nothing worse than having chills in the tropics. Ok, there is – having to put up with my having the chills in the tropics. Just ask Jay.

Abhijit is a sweet guy. We’ve been chatting over the past month. As he’s in India and I’m in Thailand it’s easier than most as we are awake at the same time. A pity I didn’t ‘meet’ him earlier as I was just in India several months back.

Pratibimb means “A Reflection” !! Images in Mumbai-India, displayed on this photoblog, are what caught my fancy and I captured with my camera.

Norman Roberts

Typically, when I meet a man with two first names, I’m going to choose the wrong one to open communication. Being the class act he is, Israeli Norman (not Robert) briefly corrected me then moved on with the reason for our conversation, his bushy-eyed photo (seen in the banner above).

For less than the price of a sister you could have come along to the Eric Clapton concert I enjoyed last night. Great fun, we left from the British Club via convoy, motorcycle police making our way through rush hour traffic. Coming onto a packed freeway, we all leaned to the right to watch as they halted cars two lanes wide so we could get through. I raised my glass of red in salute as traffic lights received the same treatment. The only downside of the night was the lack of the one song I’ve waited 20 years to hear him sing live – Tears in Heaven. If I ever get to another Clapton concert, sending him a t-shirt (tweaked of course) might help him remember my fav of his hit songs. I mean, come on, who ever heard of an Eric Clapton concert without Tears in Heaven? He even played songs from Cream (which I would have gladly exchanged, given even a midget of a chance).

I’ve been crammed with work for the past six months plus. What better way to relax then to flaff off on DWB? With this in mind, I decided to create a new category called WILDhairs.

How does it work? Generally, when I’m tired of doing what I do, I head over to Technorati Search: www.designers-who-blog.com to see who’s linking back. If I find a blog interesting enough to keep me from what I should be doing, I either shoot off an email invite … or … I post a feature asap.
