Sue Rubira
I’ve tried to stick to rules about featuring. Especially for blogs with just the one post. But for the talented Sue, I feel strongly enough to make an exception. I mean, if we give her loads of support, she’ll keep feeding us. Yes? So please, visit her blog, comment, and give megga kudos.

Charley Parker
lines and colors
Charley Parker with lines and colors is amazing. Day after day, his highly detailed posts never fail to entertain me. I’ve featured Charley before, but no matter, he’s a wealth of knowledge. And besides, I wanted to share his inspiring article, Painting A Day Blogs.
From Charley: Back in December of 2004, Virginia artist and teacher Duane Keiser started the terrific practice of painting one small (usually postcard size) painting every day (as far as I know, starting with the painting of the baseball above). At the same time, he started a blog on which he would post an image of that day’s painting. … Since then, a number of other artists have begun to keep this kind of routine as well (I regret to say I’m not among them). Not only is this an excellent discipline for any painter or visual artist, it may be financially beneficial as well.

Bruce McKay
bigcatheads the blog
Bruce creates paintings of cats in many poses, doing what cats do. At bigcatheads he writes about how he does what he does. Bruce created an online space to reach out to the public. If you do you make it there, be sure to check out Riley, the 37 lb cat.
From the blog:
The reason for me doing this blog is for background and contact. Background to the work I do and contact with other people both artists and collectors. You cannot underestimate how important contact is for an artist who paints alone in his studio. You literally spend your time talking to the cat. I want to hear from collectors, dealers, framers, gallery owners and especially other artists.
