I’m seeing a trend. In the rush to review 14 sites before stepping on the plane for a Bangkok to UK, UK to Seattle, US to UK, then back to Bangkok trip, Vitaly Friedmans Notebook became the third decent blog from Germany.
From where I’m standing (totally shagged out and flat back but the brain is still working), Germany is producing fine talent.
Vitaly Friedman is responsible for the Web Developer’s Handbook: developing web-sites, exploring imagination and 20 Rules Of Smart And Successful Web-development. Yes, this is one for the bloglines.
From ‘why do I do it’:
Once I took a pencil in my hand… It doesn’t happen too often, but it happens. Once, being inspired by your own imagination, you take a pencil in your hand. You see blurred images running over and over again in your head. You release your spirit of inspiration.
Unexpectedly you experience an irresistible desire to transform your abstract ideas into real, concrete and, more significantly, unique objects. Of course, you can’t resist. You don’t even want to resist. And you create.
