When David put out his Top 50 graphic design blogs I was a bit embarrassed.
Why?
Because I’m sitting here at DWB. A blog with over 400 design blogs listed. And I couldn’t easily lay my hands on my personal top 50.
DWB isn’t made that way. Featured blogs get buried in categories. Piling up on each other.
There are so many blogs on DWB after two years, that when a blog I believe know strolls by, I have to google to see if they’ve already been featured.
Edited: But no more …
So what did I do at Dave’s? Well, I couldn’t honestly come up with my top graphic design blogs without the whole list sitting in front of me, could I? So I sort of waved at some numbers. Then pointed at my sidebar.
Lame.
I’m going to have to do something about that. Someday.
No apologies, but I’m not going to my act together soon. Like, this week. Or the next.
Luckily, David has a fantastic and growing list at his Top 50 graphic design blogs post.
Take a look. Make a comment. Leave some top 50’s of your own.
From David:
It’s not so easy finding quality graphic design authors. So to make things easier for you, here I present my top 50 graphic design blogs.
My new passion taken from David’s post?
COLOURlovers.
Just check out their Colors of Global Cuisine: Thailand.
Wow.

Thanks very much, Cat!
That Thai cuisine colour post is superb, and COLOURlovers is a new one for me too. No doubt there are many many more that should be featured in the top 50, so if others were to stop by with recommendations, that’d be great.
There are actually over 60 blogs featured now, and I expect it to grow further with some new additions.

David,
As usual, it was my pleasure.
You’ve listed a range of blogs I know. But also, a great collection of those I was not aware of.
And your readers are posting more.
Yeah, it’s like “come to mamma” :-D
I’ve bookmarked my favourites (like COLOURlovers) for future features.

Parsiri,
It’s a beautiful post. And as I live in Thailand, I’m partial.
I’m also partial to Pad Thai and green curry :-)
ps: the absolute BEST EVER Pad Thai is made just down the street from where I live. Heaven.

I’ve been to Bangkok a few times, and miss the Pad Thai. I’ll have to get me a recipe.

David,
If you ever make it back out to Bangkok, stop on by and I’ll take you to Ari’s megga Pad Thai restaurant. They serve prawns as big as lobsters on the top. Megga.
ps: Parsiri includes a Pad Thai recipe in her post at COLOURlovers.
I’ve never made it because it’s just too easy to walk down the road and order. As you know, everything is just too easy here.

Sounds great Cat. Will be sure to let you know if I’m out your way again.

Wow what a great bit of information! I hope to see the top 50 keep growing because there are a lot of worthwhile designer blogs out there. COLOURlovers is definitely a keeper. Something readers might also want to check out is the Singapore Design Festival 07, the website has a wealth of information on all things design related http://www.SingaporeDesignFestival.com

ruggz,
I agree.
I was just checking out the Singapore’s Utterubbish this morning. I wish I could pop over there to attend, but I don’t have the time. Pity.
