vrempire - that's why I suggest following the series with a personal journal. It keeps you honest. It keeps you motivated to get to the end.

I knew there was no way I could have taken it on board unless I made myself responsible each week for answering his questions.

Even if I had to do it in public.

(apologies to all who suffered through my honest rants)

To learn something about time management is easy but to practise is another big story. this might be a good reading and hopefully practical.

Ian,

They were indeed struggles. These past several years have seen a dramatic change in my work and home life. This series made me face up to the differences and make needed changes. But, as I'm a creature of habit, there were more than a couple of #$@#!'s along the way!

Mary, so glad you've found it useful. Mark did a great job researching, then putting the different GTD programs to the test.

This phrase made me smile today:
"For eight weeks, I faithfully posted my struggles on DWB."

Syven,

Glad you are enjoying it!

The great part about Mark's series and e-book is that it shows how to get back time for what you feel is important to you. Whether it's creative or not.

I'm already getting back to one of my first loves. Reading history. Nice.

If time exists I guess you can manage it. When I in due course review "Time Management for Creative People" since I am outside of the design community, I am hoping to find creative ways of looking at time.

This means time as a perception not as a clock and not strictly in the mechanics of managing time but time leadership. I do believe that there is something to "design thinking" that should make my understanding of the relationship between time and creativity, fundamentally different to the way ordinary mortals manage existence.

Anyway, it is always good to jump into a new ocean and see how people in a different discipline deal with a common issue across all professions.
