A couple of days ago I received an email from Sunny, saying, “Hey! Are you like, still alive???!”
Hah! Kidding, honest. But Sunny did drop me a line to make sure I was ok and to wish me well. And here I am. Back. So I guess I just needed time to recover from being recovered? And a nudge by Sunny?
And being recovered, I’m TOTALLY chuffed to bring you Think Motto, by Sunny Bonnell and Ashleigh Hansberger.
Think Motto is a blog about living from your core. Core is all about power – it’s knowing who you are and telling people about it without deception or apology. For brands, living from the core is essential. It’s about having something to say, rather than just something to sell. We write about the things move us both personally and professionally like branding, design, core values, culture, politics, entrepreneurship and the big world around us.
I wasn’t exactly sure which category to put them in… decisions… decisions… Graphic designer… Writers… Branders… as they fit in all three (but only one will do). So… Graphic Designers, it is.
But no matter what tag Think Motto is under, it’s a fabulous blog. Well written (all original at that), informative and fun. Please check it out (and when you do, send my thanks to Sunny :-)

Cat I am so glad to see you’re back! I was really starting to worry about you there (guess I could’ve emailed, but I figured you were on the couch or in bed as much as possible and the computer was the remotest of your thoughts). 3+ months is too long to be sick! So no more of that, yes? ;)

C,
I was beginning to stalk you, but realized that was too over the top :) Ashleigh and I are incredibly excited that you’re back in action and that you featured our blog here. We believe in what you are doing here and happy to be alongside so many wonderfully talented creatives.
Cheers,

Hi Lauren, Thanks for your kind thoughts and the welcome back. Three+ months was awful. Awful tedious! Especially for a person who dislikes hospitals as much as I do :-)
Sunny, I was so glad you emailed to give me a needed nudge. And you are right, there are great creatives featured on DWB. And more to come (I promise).

What a sweet thing to say (I’m glad to still be alive too). Thank you Charles.
On the design of the blog… with the help of Jay, the programmer I work with, it’s been tweaked from a theme by Just Skins. We added columns, then the banner across the top. The banner was stylized from a photo of the British Club, Bangkok.

Hi Cat,
We haven’t met yet, and I know I’m a little late in my comments, but just wanted to say thanks for adding Sunny and me to the Designers Who Blog community. We’ve been getting a spike in traffic, which I attribute much of it to you :)
Keep coming, people! And feel free to leave your comments on our blog. Also, be sure to become a follower because we’re adding new posts all the time. Sunny just posted a new one about the “One Show Phenomenon” that is absolutely hysterical.
Live from your core,
Ashleigh Hansberger

No problem. I’m terribly late myself. So much going on…
