I agree, it’s a dream come true. My son spends a ton of time (and hd space) downloading and compiling music.

For me, I don’t have the time.

But, I enjoy listening to music. I like to be introduced to new artists or tracks that are not the same ole same ole that stations keep dragging out.

I used to go to Pandora, but they put new rules in place for those living in Thailand and other non western countries.

I sort of understand your POV — but you have to admit that there has NEVER been a better time than now to find, purchase, download, and listen to a greater variety of music than previous generations could even dream of.

When I was younger, there were excellent radio stations playing varied music.

Gradually, they were taken over by large companies who ‘updated’ them so we heard the same music on each one.

With media consolidation, it can only get worse.

I disagree 100%. The “threat” of “media consolidation” is a favorite bugaboo of the Left.
