… a community at MyBlogLog

It’s Sunday. All day. The sun is shining and I’ve finished a few of my blogging chores. David Allen’s Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity has finally had its cover cracked (yeah, the irony).

Going back to yesterday … When checking out DWB’s incoming, I found a healthy pattering of links from MyBlogLog. I already have a community and I don’t remember signing up. (I might need David’s book more than I originally thought).

Looking around the comments, theory.isthereason’s Building Your Blog’s Community Using MyBlogLog explains the basics of how it works. I won’t repeat his advice here, but I did have a play.

I’m not sure how it’s going to catch on, but MyBlogLog is a decent place to discover yet more blogs to read. I spent time at four refreshing, snarly-to-wisdomy sites - 10,000 Reasons Civilization is Doomed, Hypocritical, More than a living and PigWisdom.com.

More along the lines of Trizel (not your average sweet and light blogs), so I added most to my Bloglines.

After Bloglining, I headed back over to MyBlogLog’s for design blogging heaven. There’s a long list of previous features so I’ll skip to two you haven’t seen here - IDasia and designeast.eu.

The next two are DWB future features - CREATEaPRO.com and Have Laptop Will Travel. CREATEaPRO.com is a fantastic find for me as I’m looking for business of design blogs. The lovely Have Laptop Will Travel is one DWB already has scheduled (thanks Liz) but I don’t mind sharing a sneak peek here.

And now to get back to Getting Things Done. I haven’t looked through the table of contents, but I wonder if there’s a chapter called ‘Stop Checking Your Incoming.’

All - happy Sunday, happy reading.
