Logo Design Love Awards now open:
Last week, David Airey (of the popular blog of the same name, David Airey) launched Logo Design Love. This week he’s announced the Logo Design Love Awards.
“It’s completely free to enter, or to submit an entry on behalf of a blog you think should win. The only requirement is that entrants must have their logo displayed on their blog header between February and April 2008.”
And just check out the line up for the judges. All good.
- Megan Patrick, Senior Editor at HOW magazine
- Armin Vit of UnderConsideration LLC
- Adrian Hanft of Be A Design Group
- David Pache of dache
- Steve Delahoyde, Co-Editor of UnBeige
- Alissa Walker, previously of UnBeige, and now Gelatobaby
- Jeff Andrews of Design Inspiration and Sugar Frosted Goodness
- John Martz of Drawn!
Oh. Then there’s me amongst that great bunch – Cat Morley of Creatlive Latitude, NO!SPEC and Business of Design Online.
One of the main reasons I agreed to sign on as one of the judges is because David is a class act. Everything David does is well thought out. As well as well designed. I like.
So if you have a blog logo you love (after reading the criteria of course), why not put it forward to see how it goes?
If not, you can always contribute your opinion by voting during the Logo Design Love Readers Award.
Enjoy!

Thanks again, Cat! You’ve been a GREAT help.
David Airey’s last blog post..Logo Design Love Awards now open
You are more than welcome David. Glad to help.
I think this is a great idea to have a contest like this. Kudos to David.
On a side note, does anyone know of any good logo design sites out there one the web? I’ve heard of so many sites out there like MyCustomLogo, LogoDesignCreation and the likes. But I’m unsure which site provides original designs yet it’s affordable and fast as well. Any suggestions. Thanks.
Jessica,
Original yet affordable? Doesn’t exist.
Also, you need to beware of the risks – google ‘logo works saga’
I am totally agree with Jessica, its really a great thing to inspire a designer to create more effective and attractive designs.
Cat,
I googled that and was rather shocked to find out a huge design firm like LogoWorks is involved in plagiarism. Makes me wonder how could they be still so famous after all that scandal… But still, I’ve searched most logo design sites and some did offer really affordable logo designs and their designs seemed original. I based my findings on the WIRED article (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.10/start.html?pg=13).
Maybe I’ll choose one among the Top 3 featured there. The Logo Company seemed good after checking the site; trustworthy. The Top 3 design firms which was listed offer services that are affordable as well with LogoDesignCreation.com’s starting price at only $69.
