Last year, 20 designers from all over met in Seattle, most for the first time. It was pure magic.
And now we’re doing it again, only with a larger group of people. Some are coming from France, Scotland, Canada, New York, Florida, Ohio … on and on.
There will be industry podcasts by Chris Ritke of 49sparks.com.
There will be grand eats overlooking the Sounds.
There will be city gazing from on top of a shared condo, flat back on the rooftop garden.
There will be designers huddled with designers, getting advice on business, clients and life.
There will be longtime friends meeting, sharing and just being.
There will be sparce posts here at DWB as I make my way tonight from Bangkok to London, Devon, Bristol, Ullapool (Scotland), Bristol, Devon, London, Seattle, Marysville, Seattle for the Seattle Meet-up on Memorial Day weekend … then back to Marysville, Seattle, London, and finally home to Bangkok, Thailand.
There is sure to be a fantastic time for all, so if you can make it, come on down.
Hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it, you can read and watch at www.how-about-cl.com.
anon,
cat

So looking forward to hooking up with the “old gang” - and meeting many others for the first time. Safe travels Cat! Hugs, J.

Thanks Jeff. The travels are going pretty well so far. Tomorrow will tell for sure. Fingers crossed the weather changes or I’m going to be spending some miserable days out in the wind and rain chasing after fish.

I won’t officially be a full-time Seattle designer until about a week after your meet-up - just finishing my MArch degree at the University of Washington! ;)

Congrats on your degree and entry into the design world!

All the best for your meeting of the minds.
My car is there (in Seattle), parked in an undisclosed location. Wish I could have been there, too.

Thanks Josh. If it’s anything like last year, it’s going to be fantastic and VERY tiring.
Some are already in Seattle. I’m waiting for a ride to get out there.
Sorry you can’t make it. Maybe next year?
If you want to keep up with what’s happening, as it happens (or shortly after) we’ll be posting on http://www.how-about-cl.com. But right now it’s just an info site.

Hi Cat,
Your trip sounds fantastic. I enjoyed reading about it last year and can’t believe it’s time again. Maybe some year I can join you. Miss talking to you at Tues. comments.

Sandy,
The trip was absolutely wonderful. I could have done without getting sick at the end, but that seems to be a given when burning the candle at both ends!
I hope you can make it next year as both times it’s been amazing.
