From the History:
Design is Kinky was created by Andrew in mid 1998 in a small flat in Sydney, Australia. His main reason for starting it was simply to get involved in the design community that he saw beginning to grow online.
The Design is Kinky blog was originally by: Andrew Johnston. Andrew has been joined by a megga crew – Murray Bell, Karen Ingram, Joel Wasserman, Dave Townsend, Ronit Ambarchi, Tiffany Malakooti, Sarah Ancalmo, Christopher Cox, Chuck Anderson, Chris Rushing, Richard Bacon, Gui Borchert, Max Larson Von Reybekiel, Sammy the Squirrel, David Johnson, and Mike Buzzard.

From the new Design is Kinky: Welcome to the Design is Kinky interim page. We’ve put this page together because we felt the main site was too old and we are working on a new site, so this page will keep you up to date on things in the meantime.
