Cool! What a great collection. I hope this gets more people into reading blogs! Most people who don’t blog themselves don’t get it, but I’m sure reading without writing is incredibly useful too.

Ah, you might be right on that. I’m looking forward to reading the book to see the slant they put on the different blogs. There are so many good ones out there on design, Covering different aspects, so the book is sure to be interesting.

How fun! What a small world, too. David Airey just posted a link to an interview about me on his Logo Design Love blog - and last week I met Eric Karjaluoto at the HOW Conference speakers’ reception and I had dinner with Stefan Bucher (and a gaggle of HOW Books authors). Cat - we’ve got to get you to one of the conferences!

Jeff, I’d love to get out to one of the conferences but it always comes back to the Thailand / US family issue.
But if there is ever a conference around Seattle, I’d seriously think about it. I’m not locked into when I’m there, just where I’m there.
David, Eric and Stefan - I’d love to meet all three! But I believe out of those (except for you of course), it’s going to be David first as it’s easier for me to travel to Scotland than it is to traverse the length of the US. You all live in one HUGE country, that’s for sure.
And October in Seattle can’t come soon enough as I’m certainly looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Very cool. I can’t wait to see who is in this book.
And I haven’t forgotten about interviewing you, Cat. I’ve just been too busy to think up good questions!

Lauren, apparently the book is coming out in September, which is great timing really (long story).
And no problem about the interview. I’m snowed under at the moment myself. Life, huh?

Can’t wait to see the book, Cat!
Like you, I’d also love to get out to the States for one of the design / blogging get-togethers. It’d be an honour to meet so many of the designers over there.
David Aireys last blog post..Logo design and business card for WDE

Oh, and as Kristarella kindly pointed out to me on Logo Design Love, it seems the upgrade has omitted an apostrophe from the CommentLuv caption (after the author’s name).

David, as previously mentioned, I go to the meet where a bunch of designers show up in Seattle (Jeff Fisher usually comes).
But it’s not one of the megga conferences. It’s just a comfortable hanging around with online friends type (and great fun).
For the past two years I’ve arrived totally zonked due to megga travel before I arrive. But this year I’m flying straight into Seattle via Korea (I already have my tickets). So, I just might be awake. Finally! That’ll be a treat for me.
(trying to decipher what Kristarella mean by the apostrophe … and CommentLuv … need more caffeine …)
June 4th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Not to worry. I could’ve explained it better. You see the caption that CommentLuv adds? After the commenter’s name, there should be an apostrophe. For instance, instead of “David Aireys last blog post” it should read, “David Airey’s last blog post”. It’s a little thing, but I was glad someone let me know.
