About Lee-Roy:
I’m an Illustrator, Designer, and Storyboard Artist in Los Angeles, California. I live with my girlfriend and three cats and several colonies of ants. My earliest memory is as a three-year-old, drawing a picture. Twenty-six years later, the picture is still being drawn. It’s one I never want to finish.
I started at the fringes of the design industry by training as a fine artist with serious plans of being a portrait artist. It’s all I ever wanted to be, or so I thought. Years later, here I am, fighting with code and glancing enviously at the likes of Lee-Roy. He’s got the drool factor going on for sure.
Seems we have the same three year old memories. I could see the human coming out of my creation and wanted to show everyone around. I wanted them to see the baby I created. ME. At a young age, I was feeling the power for the first time. And it was magic.
Now here I am, working with css, where I swear there are times I’d love to throw my powerbook through the window.
What’s stopping me, right?

Nice post, nice site. I trained in sculpture but ended up doing print and web design. I still do fine art when I’m inspired, but graphic design pays the bills.

Wow! I’m honored that you posted this and thank you HD and saul for the comments. I’m sorry I didn’t notice this sooner, but 4 days late isn’t too bad, eh? I’ve been taking a little hiatus from the computer more recently and posts to the Art & Story Blog have been a little slow, but I plan to post many fun doodles and the like very soon! Close it gently, then turn, walk out of the room, pick up some paper and pencil, go outside, and have some fun.
